The Shard Pierces the London Sky

The tallest building in western Europe, The Shard, was unveiled with a laser light show last week.  The tower is owned by the Qatari royal family and is designed by Renzo Piano. It looms over other buildings in South London with a piercing, irregular pyramidal shape clad entirely in glass.
