The first in a series of works which will mix complex live performance, robotics, sculpture, and music, jaqapparatus 1 features two enormous industrial machines, which use powerful lasers to attack, repel, communicate and dance with each other in a surreal mating display. Each machine attempts to dominate the other in a mysterious sentient room.
Chris Cunningham is famed for his video and film collaborations with Aphex Twin, Autechre, Portishead and Bjork, and has had his work displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Venice Biennale, the Barbican, the Royal Opera House, and the Royal Festival Hall.
*Tickets grant entrance to one performance only.
Thurs 19th:  6-7.30pm, 8-9.30pm
